Creating opportunities to share and bring about positive change.

Sunday Breakfast

The Red Zone Food Program, an initiative with a transformative mission in the heart of San Jose's red light district. As one of the most sexually exposed areas in the country, we are dedicated to building meaningful relationships with those living in the streets who are experiencing housing insecurity in order to create positive change.

Our primary goal is to provide essential support to those already living in the reality of the sex trade. Every Sunday morning, we gather to serve a nourishing breakfast, extending a compassionate hand to those in need. By sharing this meal together, we not only satisfy hunger but also foster connections that go beyond the surface.

Through this program, we also aim to identify possible cases of sexual exploitation. Our dedicated team remains committed to protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation, working closely with local authorities and organizations to ensure their safety.

But our efforts don't stop there. We strongly believe in the power of prevention. Our program actively seeks to address the root causes of exploitation, tackling issues such as indigence, lack of work, or addiction that may lead to vulnerable individuals falling prey to the sex trade. By providing support, resources, and guidance, we empower them to find alternative paths and lead fulfilling lives.

Each conversation and activity within our program is thoughtfully oriented towards reminding people of their intrinsic value and worth. We strive to motivate and inspire individuals to take steps of faith, encouraging them to envision a brighter future beyond their current circumstances.

Refuge City represents a hope in the midst of the hardships of daily life. It is trying to bring value to a place that has lost all its beauty, that is surrounded by pain, despair, broken dreams and contempt.
